All presentations consist of four presentations: The one you PLAN to deliver, the one you actually DELIVER, the one your audience HEARS you deliver, and the one you WISH you had delivered. This workshop shows a proven system to help you bring these four presentations into greater alignment. After learning and internalizing the systematic approach taught in this workshop, you will be able to deliver as you have planned and practiced, be on the same page as your audience, and will have far fewer post-presentation "I wish had said it this way" moments.
Presentation Skills in a Nutshell! The "Shortcut" to Persuasive Eloquence
The Presentation Skills in a Nutshell method is a time-saving, easy-to-learn-and-implement program that will enable you to become "persuasively eloquent." You will develop the ability to:
- gain insight into the needs of this audience,
- demonstrate detailed knowledge of the issue, and
- master the delivery skills needed to connect with the audience.
Armed with the tested and proven S3P3 Method, you will no longer fear speaking; you will be eager to speak to demanding audiences.
The foundation of this effective presentation training program are the three pillars of:
- Substance (the knowledge the speaker holds on the issue),
- Structure (the logical means by which this knowledge is presented to the audience, and
- Style (the use of rhetorical devices, the arrangement and choice of words, vocal quality, facial expression, gestures and other non-verbal communication.)
These three pillars support the Pyramid of Planning, Practicing, and Presenting, the development of which constitutes the heart of the workshop.
A Model Two-Day Workshop
DAY ONE
The morning of the first day is devoted to the theoretical foundations of successful presentations. We will discuss the three pillars of Substance, Structure, and Style mentioned above, and develop a systematic, logical procedure of incorporating them into the presentation. We then demonstrate proven techniques of planning a presentation efficiently; this includes logical structuring of the material to be presented, research about the audience, timing of the presentation, and the use of visual aids. We will learn various methods of practicing the presentation. Finally we focus on important and oft-neglected elements of presenting effectively when you stand in front of an audience.
In the afternoon of day one we will apply this S3P3 Method in a practical training session. You will have the chance to have your presentation video-taped for later analysis. You will be surprised how much you can learn from watching yourself give a speech!
DAY TWO
All of the second day is reserved for practicing the S3P3 Method. You will have the opportunity to learn from your and your colleague's mistakes and improve your presentation in further video-session. We will conclude the day with a detailed analysis of the video-tapes, and a brief recap of the material covered during the course.

MATCHING CLIENT NEEDS
The model two-day workshop described above provides an example of a training program that enables you to learn and apply a "shortcut" method to speaking excellence. Actual training workshops/coaching sessions are tailored to the specific requirements of the client, based on a joint needs analysis. The workshop can be expanded to more than two days or contracted to one day, depending on the time allocated by the client and number of people to be trained. Participant practice presentations are video-taped and critiqued to reinforce methods and techniques learned in the workshop/coaching session. All course materials are included; participants will be given their video-tapes and all printed course materials.
